Larry Pierce

Larry Pierce

Larry was born in a small town in rural Arkansas. For the last seventeen years, he has worked in telecom industry, and before that, he served in the U.S. Air Force.

Larry enjoys reading books, watching movies, spending time with his wife and kids and coloring. Larry’s wife, Melissa, picked up the coloring bug a couple of years ago and seeing how relaxed she was while coloring sparked something in him.  In the past two years, his interest in coloring has re-emerged, like a skinny bear after a long winter!

When Larry’s not coloring, you can find him behind the scenes doing admin-y stuff at Coloring Books For Adults and ColorUing for Weirdos. He also helps out with Color On! Magazine and the Absur’D Coloring Book series!

Melissa Pierce

Melissa Pierce

Melissa was born in a small town in rural Arkansas, and then moved to a small town in California. She spent many of her formative years between the two states.

Coloring and art has always been a passion of Melissa’s since she was big enough to hold a crayon in her tiny little hands. It came as no surprise that she would embrace the world of adult coloring. Melissa’s passion for coloring was re-ignited a few years ago and since that time there has been no picture she won’t try, nor any coloring technique that gives her pause.

Melissa is the mother of two teenage boys and one husband with a teenage mind! When Melissa isn’t coloring, writing product reviews, or keeping her husband reigned in (that’s a full time job), she can be found behind the scenes at Coloring Books For Adults and ColorUing for Weirdos. She also helps out with Color On! Magazine and the Absur’D Coloring Book series!

Kim Bussey

Kim Bussey

meettheeditorselement356Kim Bussey was born and raised in Ohio, which makes her a confirmed Buckeye and hard to reach during an OSU football game. The eldest in our family of editors, she won’t confess to any dates regarding college graduation or number of years spent as an editor or writer, but she has taught courses in flash fiction, self-editing, and social media promotion. She will admit to having a passion for all genres of flash and often recommends to her editing clients to practice micro-flash as a means of keeping their own editing skills sharp. Kim’s stories have been published in numerous print and on-line magazines. She’s currently working on her first novel.

Kim also edits A Long Story Short monthly issues, Reader’s Carnival, and the activity books in the Absur’D series.

Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson

profile_1_1024Born in Florida as a NAVY brat, Jessica retained her “brat” status throughout her childhood by writing on walls, coloring the family dog, and being voted “Art Club President” by her peers in high school. A ”Jack of all trades” but master of none, Jessica’s career has taken many twists and turns in her search for a creative outlet. She found the Internet to be her sanctuary, where she discovered her knack for writing and a desire to help other people.

.
Today, Jessica can be found online (at almost any given time of the day), with a clipboard, coloring book, and art supplies in her lap. As a whole, adult coloring has provided Jessica with an opportunity to connect with artists and colorists alike, as well as a chance to contribute by writing coloring book reviews and helping other colorists perfect their skills.

.
Living in Wisconsin with her boyfriend and two cats, Jessica happily enjoys cooking gourmet meals, lots of coloring (including her hair!), and way too much coffee.
